Job Title: Concession / Food & Beverage Manager
Location: Cornerstone Ice Arena, Lockport, NY
Reports To: General Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time Hourly
Compensation & Benefits: $18.00/hour - $21.00/hour. Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Includes a competitive benefits package and performance-based incentives.               

 
Position Summary:

The Cornerstone Ice Arena in Lockport, NY, a premier ice arena and multi-sport facility, is seeking an experienced and driven Concession / Food & Beverage Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and success of all food and beverage operations. This individual will play a key role in shaping the guest experience by delivering quality food options, efficient service, and a clean, welcoming environment that caters to families, athletes, and visitors of all ages.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Concession Operations Management:
    Oversee day-to-day food and beverage operations, ensuring consistent service, cleanliness, and efficiency during games, programs, tournaments/events, practices and public skate times.
  2. Menu Planning & Pricing:
    Develop and maintain a menu that appeals to youth and adult guests while maximizing profitability. Source products, determine pricing, and ensure high-quality presentation and service.
  3. Team Leadership:
    Recruit, train, and schedule a team of part-time and seasonal employees. Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and support to maintain high service standards and a positive work environment.
  4. Health & Safety Compliance:
    Ensure adherence to all local and state health codes, food handling guidelines, and safety regulations. Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance checks and ensure staff follow all sanitation procedures.
  5. Inventory & Vendor Management:
    Maintain adequate stock levels through proactive ordering, accurate inventory tracking, and vendor coordination. Manage product receiving, storage, and rotation to minimize waste and loss.
  6. Financial Management:
    Monitor sales, labor, and cost of goods sold (COGS). Use data and reports to make informed decisions, control costs, and improve profitability. Ensure accurate POS operation and cash handling procedures.
  7. Event Support & Coordination:
    Work closely with the events and operations team to prepare for tournaments, camps, and special events, ensuring food and beverage needs are met for large crowds and varying schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree; OR four years of experience in food and beverage management.
  • Valid food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Customer-first mindset with a passion for providing a great experience to families, athletes, and guests.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, inventory tracking, and basic financial reporting.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on the facility's event schedule.
